There never are words adequate enough to express feelings of sympathy to the family left behind. I remember Les in high school as a very warm and personable young man and those traits would have stayed with him throughout his life. Dear Mary: We were so saddened to hear about Les. We attended grammer school and high school with him and our parents were good friends with Toddy and his family. We were raised just a couple blocks from each other in Rohnerville and used to go fishing in the creek near his house.

We had a great time as kids running around the big town of Rohnerville.

So sorry to hear about Les's passing. I'm sorry I didn't get to see him while I was home. My Uncle Wayne Gildesgarde from the Senior center certainly admired Les and would continually tell me about the good things he did for those at the center. You are in our prayers.

Mary and family. I was on the football and basketball teams with Les at FHUS. He was a gifted athlete. And a fellow Veteran at a time when everyone did not serve. In my opinion a true American and patriot. He will be missed. I looked forward to seeing him at our 1960 class reunion in 2005. God Bless Les, Mary and family.

I was so sad to hear about your dad. Even now as I think of him, I can picture his warm smile that always seemed to light up the room. My condolences to Les' family. I knew Les from the Natl. Guard and recently from the V.A. Clinic in Eureka where I am the security guard. I rode to San Francisco with Les on the V.A. bus and sat in the front with him both going there and returning. I last saw Les when he came into the V.A. clinic in a wheel chair and I shook his hand. I will miss Les - he was my friend.
