It will be almost one year since Les went home to that great place...heaven. I feel better knowing he is watching over us - our every move. I bet he is glad we (us girls) are making better choices now days. I loved that man like a father. I am so grateful he was in my life. He didn't have much to say, but when he said it - he made it good. He made me laugh. I still think back to things he did (pennies) and things he said and laugh. I still have the last penny he gave me...it had a note "you should have used this." I got it the day of my due date - May 5, 2006. Heart of gold. And a very honest man. We could all learn from him. Les is with my mom now. I wonder if she is laughing with him as I did so many times. Anyways, thank you Lord for the gift you gave us - my friend, Les. Love and miss you. JoAn Hoffmann

Cathy, Leslie, Chad, Robby, Azur and Family. I am sorry for your loss of such a great guy. I will remember his great kindness and practical jokes. I will miss seeing Les at Riverside when we stop in snowmobiling. May God bless all of you during these trying times.
All my best.

I cannot begin to express my sympathy to you Cathy, and all the children. Les was my very good friend in the years the children were young. I shall always remember him with his generous nature, his teasing manner and the love of his friendship.

I am very sorry for your loss. We all loved Les so much. He was one of a kind. I will always smile when I think about him. I will always laugh when I think about the very funny things he did and said to me and others. Yep - one of a kind. He will be missed. Love you Les.

Uncle Les was a wonderful, caring man, reserved but ready to crack a joke with or on you, and will always be remembered for his willingness to be there for you but not sticking around 'too' long, either!! I had spent many childhood weekends with the family, as Lezlee and I were very close cousins and I have many fond memories from those days with Les. He'll be fondly remembered and sadly missed! I have fond memories of Les. We alwasy kidded each other because his birthday was in December and mine was in January, I was a year ahead of him, so he would say he was much younger than me. Also, when he worked at Security State Bank, he would call me to do inventory on Safe Deposit Boxes that were not opened for several years. I always felt that he was nice that he thought of me. He was a great guy.

I worked with Les for many years at Security State Bank back in the late 70's, early 80's. I enjoyed working with him. He was alot of fun to be around. He will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
