Lester Roger Bowman BRISTOL, Va. Lester Roger Bowman, age 69, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at his home. He is survived by: his loving wife of 47 years, Lois Hall Bowman; daughter, Carolyn Artrip and husband Kenneth of Bristol Virginia; sons, Roger Lee Bowman of the home and William Everett Bowman and wife Angela of Bristol Tennessee; seven precious grandchildren, Heather, Andrew, Hayley, Rebekah, Brandon, Anthony and Anna; two foster children, Joe Thomas and Brandon Cooper; several brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Delona Bowman of Clintwood, Julius and Margie Hall of Hurley, Va.; two brothers-in-law; several brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Locklear officiating. The burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Susong Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Wiggins, Bobby Hall, Tommy Keene, Terry Hall, Brandon Hall, Conley Cross, Eugene Odum, Earl Blankenbeckler, Samie Barger and Jimmi Burrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Thomas, Jim Addair, brothers of Three Springs Baptist Church and Rock Hill Baptist Church, Dr. J.P. Sutherland, Dr. Bolick, Frank Shaffer, Albert Estep and Charles Estep. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. prior to the service.
