Lew was born to Lewis Eddens Huddleston and Beatrice Bridges Huddleston in Des Arc, Arkansas, on June 7, 1932. He was proceeded in death by his parents and beloved great grandson Daniel Morgan.

Lew proudly served his Country in the US Air Force July 1950 - Sept. 1953 as a tail gunner on a B50 SAC bomber stationed in Castle AFB in CA. After receiving an honorable discharge, he began a law enforcement career in Highland Park, MI, then with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department. Among his many accomplishments, he patented a trailer lock, owned a Detective Agency, as well as many other entrepreneurial endeavors. Lew never met a stranger, if you met him you were a friend for life (mostly!).

Moving back to his home state, AR, with his family in 1980 he has enjoyed seeing his family grow, and enjoying life in his beloved Ozarks. He enjoyed writing letters to editor, and voicing his opinion on politics and life advice.

"Lew's Jubilee" will be celebrated in early May, 2015, after his 5 expectant great grandchildren arrive.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Sheepdog IA, 1200 W Walnut Street, Rogers, AR 72756. Sheepdogia.org Sheepdog is a non-profit organization that serves the need of the men and women serving in our military, law enforcement, fire & rescue, and EMS services - a community of people we call "Sheep Dogs".

Goodbye Lew, Lewie, Dad, Pops, Poppa, Big Poppa - and thank you for your love and guidance. We will miss you greatly.
