LEXIE BARNES
She is survived by her daughters, Estell Barnes, Shirley Dilworth, and Viola Woods, all of Edna; sons, Major Barnes Jr., Raymond Barnes, Clifton Barnes, and Tommy Barnes, all of Edna, and Alfred Barnes of Bay City; sister, Madie Dennis of Edna; and 50 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Major Barnes.
Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. today at Cook-Butler Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church, the Rev. G.L. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Chase Cemetery.

To the family of Mrs Lexie, my grand parents were Ben and Uvalda Crabb, that lived in Speaks. I remember her so well as a child I loved her, she was always such a sweet loving and caring person that thought of others before herself... I remember picking cotton and making homemade butter with her and memaw Crabb. May God bless ya'll and bring ya'll peace and comfort in the days a head
