Bill,

Today, I got an e-mail from Vickie telling me of Libby's passing. Stunned is such an inadequate word for our reactions. I've spent the rest of the afternoon thinking about Libby, her e-mails that have come religiously each day or two since we moved from Virginia. I thought of our times at the Moose Lodge, particularly bingo; karaoke and the Dixie Chicklets trio; and my birthday party in the Social Quarters in 2003. Libby was always the life and the passion in any activity. She was one of a kind and a faithful friend. Since we moved here in 2003, there's not been a week I haven't received at least a dozen e-mail funnies from her. with the possible exception of weeks you two were galavanting around the planet. Libby always entered everything with such passion; the lodge, the animal rights activities, her job, and of course, her relationship with you. She loved you very much. She was always willing to help anyone. Two weeks ago, I wrote her asking information on how to do Poker Run as part of a benefit I'm involved in here. Of course, I wrote Libby, no other person that I know would begin to even know what I was talking about. Giving and helping others was such a key part of her life; while both you and Libby were such a key part of our lives. If there is anything we can do for you, reprint pictures, write a memoir, etc. let us know. Remember our door is always open to you, Bill, should you need a place to just hang out for a while.

With love and our heartfelt sympathy,

Ray Bryant and

Bill, I am so deeply saddened by your loss, as I know you and your family are. I have known Libby since High School. I know these next few days, weeks even months will be hard. Please hold onto the wonderful memories that you two shared together. If you keep them close to your heart it will lessen the pain over time. Please know that I am here for you if you or your family need anything. As is everyone, but we don't know if you don't ask. Again Please know that I am truly sorry and that God has a wonderful new angel to help watch over us. She was a great joy and will be missed badly by all.

Bill, Connie, and family...
I only knew Libby through Avon. Our daughter, Lindsay, has worked with Connie for years...First at Bojangles and now at Food City...and through that we started ordering Avon from Libby. It's hard to explain the emotion felt when we got the news about her in the paper. There are many reminders of Libby here in our home, especially right now at Christmas, because of things bought from her through the years. Our prayer for you all is that God's grace and peace will carry you every day. Becky, Guy, Lindsay, and Joseph Odum

Billy,
We have known each other our entire lives and have shared so many times of laughter, love, and tears. My greatest loss was losing Kim last year and you shared in my sadness as I share in yours now. Libby was such a sweetheart and I am so sorry this happened. It was a joy knowing her and enjoying times with her;sometimes we don't realize the happiness we truely have in memories we make;but my dear friend, it will be the littlest memories that you will remember and cherish the most. Hold them dear to your heart and let them eventually heal your spirit. I love you and will always continue to be here for you with an open ear and a strong shoulder.
Take care and know there are hundreds of people praying for you.

Bill,
We all loved Lib and will miss her so much. The fun at karokee and laughs over dinner will become only a memory. Our lives will be incomplete without her laughter, sassy attitude and sense of humor. You both brought such fun and good times to all of us that we are blessed to have been a part of your lives together. So as life goes on remember were here for you, to help you through the rough spots and cheer you on in the good ones. Libby knows she can count on all of us.

Libby was such an outgoing, fun loving person. The Moose Lodge will not be the same without her. We will miss her and her beautiful voice at Karaoke. We'll miss her outgoing attitude and her smiling face as well. Bill, words can't express how very sorry we are. You two made a great couple because you just "fit" together and you always seemed so happy, like best friends. I hope that the great memories you made with her will give you peace and comfort. Mom and Dad (Phil and Sally Kennedy) send their love and support. They loved her dearly. Please let us know if you need anything.
