Lucille is preceded in death by her husband S.D. Flax Sr. her son S. D. Flax Jr. and her parents Otto and Liler Proctor. She is also preceded in death by her 3 sisters Hester Johnson, Eular Proctor, and Mildred, Miller,
Those she left behind are daughter Gloria Beck, Irish Flax, Mary Nelms, Donna Flax, Marilyn Medlock , of Odessa Texas Sandra Toliver, of Hearn Texas, Pamela Flax from the Colony Texas, sons Edward Flax, of Pearland Texas and Larry Flax, of Odessa Texas and Randy Flax of Bryan Texas. Lucille also leave 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express a special thanks for her Nurses Chris and Lorena.
Ms. Flax will lie in state at Odessa Funeral Home Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 9:00am till 9:00pm Funeral services have been set for 10:00 am Friday November 3, 2017 at Greater St Johns Baptist Church 212 S. Muskingum Odessa, Texas the Reverend E.J. Miller providing the eulogy. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Ector County Cemetery 300 S. Dixie Odessa, Texas.

Miss Lucille, I've know you for 59 years and had yet to hear a cross word from you. 48 of those years you were my favorite Mother-in-Law for your age group and still not a cross word. Rest Good and faithful servant. Son-in-Law Morris.
