SCOTT - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, for Lillian Leger Trahan, age 91, who died on at 1:30 AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Maison de Lafayette Nursing Home.

Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Reverend Andre Metrejean will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Kristine Rolon and Denise Trahan. Giftbearers will be Rachael Touchette and Nicole Touchette. Eulogist will be Gail Touchette.

Survivors include two sons, Harold James Trahan and his wife, Anita of Lafayette and Glenn Ray Trahan and his wife, Sharon of Scott; one daughter, Gail Touchette of Scott; five grandchildren, Kristine Rolon, Kelly Trahan, Casey and Cody Touchette, Nicholas Trahan; 10 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Bradley Leger and Harry Leger.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Joseph Trahan; her parents, Diviene Hollier Leger and Lucien Leger; one son-in-law, Dale Touchette and one brother, Horace Leger.

It's been a long time since we felt the beginning to the end

A good hearted, giving woman is all that will be heard---as we now know why Alzheimer is called "The Long Goodbye".

Pallbearers will be Casey Touchette, Cody Touchette, Nicholas Trahan, Bradley Leger, Chad Leger and Byron Luke.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Harry Leger.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
