March 2, 1935 - September 16, 2015
Today we lost a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and friend after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born in Didsbury, Alberta to Harvey and Dorothy Hosegood (Sissons). She grew up on a farm in the Elkton / Rugby District, attended Didsbury High School, then Mount Royal College. She married James R. Anderson in 1956. She was a long-time member of the Bow Valley Chapter No. 5 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Daughters of The Nile. Her most favorite place was Heritage Park where she volunteered for many years. She is survived by her son Kevin Anderson; her daughter and son-in-law Karen and David Cuthbertson; her two grandsons Robb and William; her sister Lillian Sinclair; her sister-in-laws Eileen Anderson, Fern Anderson and Elma Anderson (Bob). Linda was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1990; her parents Harvey and Dorothy; her sister Mary-Lou; her brother-in-laws John and Richard Anderson. A Celebration of life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. interment at Didsbury Cemetery at a later date. In living memory of Linda Anderson, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
