Linda M. Baars (Pester) entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 6, 2018 at the young age of 70 with her devoted husband by her side. She was born on January 23, 1948 in Lincoln to Lloyd and Pauline (Kucera) Pester. She graduated from Fairbury High School, and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She worked 32 years at Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph before retiring. She was a member of the Lincoln Women's Chamber of Commerce and served as President twice; as well as past President of the Lincoln Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Assoc. She was also a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church. Linda enjoyed the opportunities to serve her community through these endeavors.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 25 years, Rodney. She had a life filled with family that loved her including brothers: Russ (Theresa) Pester, Ellisville, MS; Ernie (Wendy) Pester, Lincoln; and Steve (Karen) Pester, Palmyra; sisters: Audrey (Doug) Friendt, Irene (Scott) Alexander, all Lincoln; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She loved her two dogs, Barbie and Jay. She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law; Erich and Pauline Baars, and nephew; Lucas Friendt.
Celebration of life service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 11 at Saint Paul United Methodist Church , 1144 M Street, Lincoln. Visitation prior to service at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be left at www.lincolnfh.com
