Linda Cornette Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 7, 2025.
Linda G. Cornette of Gahanna, OH passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 79.

Linda touched the lives of many through her passion for educating young people and advocating for intellectual freedom. She retired from education after many years as a teacher and librarian at Hamilton Local Schools and Dublin City Schools.

Although she was a proud and committed educator, her true legacy is her fierce devotion to her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Haskell and Edith Crum; her parents-in-law, Icle and Luther Cornette; grandson Paul Burke; and nephew Andy Delong.

Left to cherish her memory are her high school sweetheart and husband of 60 years, John Cornette; daughters Jacqueline (John) Burke and Johnna (Jake) Cornette-Parker; grandchildren Erica Sewell, John Burke, and Julia Burke; great-grandchildren Jian, Maci, Jack, and Addison. She is also survived by sister Arbeata Slone and cousin Brenda Andrix --both of whom of whom provided invaluable care and support during her illness; brother Darrell Crum; sister Jackie Moore; and many other cherished family members and friends.
