In memory of
Loretta Youngblood Henkel

I met Mr. and Mrs. Loredo when I was about 9 years old through their daughter, Daphne, who was my schoolmate. Between then and my early teens, I was fortunate to spend time in their home, surrounded by their family´s love and faith. Coming from a chaotic and unstable home life, the Loredos offered me a sanctuary-safety, structure, and kindness that I deeply cherished.
Mrs. Loredo was a wonderful role model, not only to her children but to all who knew her. She carried herself with grace and left a lasting impression on everyone she touched, including my cousin, who had the privilege of being her student and described her as one of the best teachers ever.
My favorite memory of Mrs. Loredo was the way she made scrambled eggs. She had a special touch, melting butter over them just after they were cooked. It´s a little detail that has stayed with me through the years-so much so that I´ve shared her "secret recipe" with friends around the world. Those eggs were a simple reflection of the care and warmth she showed in every aspect of her life.
Mrs. Loredo´s love and guidance reached far beyond her family. She made a difference in so many lives, including mine. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and nurturing will live on in our hearts and memories.
To the Loredo family: May the blessing of her remarkable life comfort you during this difficult time. Thank you, Mrs. Loredo, for everything you gave to the world.

When I think of Mrs. Loredo, I picture her warm smile and feel the love, care, and kindness she shared with us. Her class was always something to look forward to-a place where we could have fun and discover something new. She truly was a bright light in the lives of so many.

She was my favorite teacher in high school. Her love for us, enthusiasm about science, and tea hing methods ensured we leaned well in an environment of safety. She helped pave the paths of success for so many students! The world is truly a better place because of Dee Dee (Mrs. Loredo).

Dee Dee and Jesse were such good friends and encouragers to Bill and I. We met in the 80s, as fairly new Christians they came along side us and encouraged and discipled. Sadly, we lost touch over the years. My condolences to Jesse, and family.
