ELLIOTT, Linda L. (Kelly), 64 years old, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 7, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born April 23, 1948 in Southbridge, Mass. She grew up in Dudley, Mass., most of her life, but moved to Midlothian, Va., in 2004 with her husband-to-be, their daughter, and two grandchildren whom she loved dearly. While living in Massachusetts, she was employed by the Burning Bush, Auburn, Mass., and Davidian's Farm Stand, Northborough, Mass. She has been employed for the past eight-and-a-half years at Libbie Market, Richmond, Va. She served in the United States Navy for two years, and one year in the U.S. National Army Guard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma (Darling) and Charles Kelly of Dudley, Mass.; and sister, Kathy Marier of Dudley, Mass. She is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Elliott of Midlothian, Va.; her son, Richard A. Elliott and his wife, Mary, of Worcester, Mass.; her daughter, Julie M. Cobb and her two children, Naomi and Allison, and their father, Nathan Cobb of Midlothian, Va. She has three brothers, Randall Kelly and his wife, Maura, of Ridgeway, S.C., Robert Kelly of Dudley, Mass., and Ronald Kelly, Worcester, Mass. She also has several nieces and a nephew. Linda faithfully served the Lord for 40 years and was a blessing to all who knew and met her. She was a faithful member of Liberty Church, Shrewsbury, Mass., and since moving to Midlothian, Va., has attended New Harvest Assembly of God of Powhatan, Va., and Trinity Assembly of God of Midlothian, Va. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Assembly of God, officiated by the Reverend Will Bard of Liberty Church, Shrewsbury, Mass. Linda was an exemplary Christian woman. I have never met someone who genuinely loved and cared so deeply for her friends and family, as well as complete strangers. She was the first employee I met at Libbie Market, and I am grateful for everything she taught me.

I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the extreme pain of watching a loved one suffer. Praise God she has no more pain, she's in the presence of the LORD, and you will see her again. I am keeping you in my prayers. God give you peace, comfort, healing and strength during this difficult time.

My heart is broken.....Linda's warm smile and kind words would always cheer me up on the worst of days! I loved to hear her familiar New England accent and we would laugh and talk about how we didn't miss the snow! Linda watched my children grow throughout the years. We would gather in her line at (Joe's) now Libby Market just to say "hello"! Linda will be forever missed by the entire Gilmore family! Rest In Peace our dear friend.

Boy, do we remember that smile on her face, especially when she would talk about Rich, Julie, or the beautiful little girls. She loved you all so dearly. She accepted us as part of her family and will miss her but know we will see her again. Hugs and tears, but also joyful noise are being sent to you. We love you all. Thanks Linda, for not only serving our church, but our country as well.
