Linda Enright Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from May 31 to Jun. 1, 2023.
Linda Jean Enright of Garretson, SD passed away peacefully at the Dougherty House in Sioux Falls, SD on May 30th. Born on March 19, 1949 to Gill and Myrna Florke, Linda grew up in Cherokee, Iowa. On August 14, 1970 she was married to Thomas Enright. They moved to Brookings in 1978 and raised their family there, eventually leaving for Colorado in 2000. Tom and Linda eventually moved to Tuscon, AZ in 2008 and remained there until 2010 when Tom passed. At that time Linda moved back to SD to be near her children and grandchildren.

Linda was a shining light in the lives of so many people. Her spitfire personality, love of golf, and the adoration of her children and grandchildren are what is to be remembered most.

Linda is survived by her 2 brothers, Tom (Anita) and Larry Florke, her 2 children, Larry (Glenda) Enright and Krissy Dugan, her 8 grandchildren, her great grandson, Noah, and her dear friend and companion, Rich Ashton. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Tom Enright, her 2 brothers Danny and Rick Florke, and her sister Nancy Edwards.

Services will be held at St Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Brookings, SD on Saturday, June 3 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the family of Linda Enright, PO Box 184, Garretson, SD 57030 with proceeds going to support the Dougherty House in Sioux Falls.
