RICHFIELD SPRINGS _ Linda E. Fahey, 47, lost her courageous battle with cancer after a five-year struggle, Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at her home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1961, at M.I. Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, the daughter of Derwin A. Utter and Claudine Camp.
She married Steven A. Fahey on June 12, 2004.
She was a 1980 graduate of Cherry Valley Central School, and an avid sports enthusiast. She spent many happy hours with her dogs, Max and Charlie, and horseback riding with her girlfriends, called "Cowgirls From Hell."
Linda worked many years as a teacher's assistant. She was last employed at Milford Central School. She was loved by all, teachers and students and will be missed. Linda had many friends who offered much support and many prayers.
Survivors include her husband, Steven; her four "great" kids; Ryan James Burst, Kendra Lynn Burst, Ethan Wey Burst, and Jessica Fahey; her parents; a sister, Sharon (Russell) Flint; brothers, Larry (Lisa) Utter, Dennis (Chris) Utter; special friends, Terry Hayward, Belinda Mott, Deidre Yerdon; her niece, Jill Marie Flint; nephews, Josh Flint, Austin (Crystal) Utter, Derek Utter, Grant Utter, Dylan Utter; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church, Cherry Valley, with the Rev. Ron Fralick officiating.
At Linda's request there will be no calling hours and that her love be spread among all.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda's memory may be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
Many thanks go to the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, Oneonta, for their hours of compassionate care.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley.

Linda we had our good times and our bad but i will always love you and have the memories of riding horses for hours. Don't worry to much about dad so many people are helping him and Ryan is being very strong for me, Kendra, and Ethan.

Linda I love you...I am hugging you so hard I will never let you go... I am with you forever... I still sleep with the blanket you and Ryan left at Evans first birthday party..It has this really big hole in it...20 yrs worth of hugging. I miss you my friend. Belinda said there was a big snow storm going on, it reminded me of when we use to sleigh ride down Lancaster St. and laugh so hard we would wet our pants. That seemed to happen a lot when we were together..Ryan, Kendra and Ethan I love you..
