Linda Graves Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 15, 2024.
Linda Frances Graves, 62, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on June 7, 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio. Linda was born on November 27, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Betty J. Graves. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Jackson, Sr., sister, Patricia A. Jackson, and brother, Richard Jackson, Jr.

Linda worked at various places before joining the law firm of Oliver, Carson, and Martin, where she worked until 1992. Shortly thereafter, she embarked on a fulfilling career with Cuyahoga Community College, where she was a dedicated employee until her passing.

Although Linda had no children of her own, she loved children and would often welcome them into her company. She was known for always handing out candy or whatever other treat she had purchased to give out. Those who knew Linda, know that her only hobby was shopping, shopping, and more shopping. She especially enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes. Linda also loved music and being around people.

She joyfully attended the meetings of the Lee-Harvard congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Linda's kind-hearted and generous nature endeared her to all who knew her. She deeply cherished her family and is dearly loved by them.

Linda is survived by her brothers: Ernest Graves, Sherman Clark, John Jackson (Robin), Richard M. Jackson, and Wayne Graves (Dorothy); sisters: Vernita Jackson-Reeves (Kenny), Diane Graves, Diane Jackson, Cathy Jo Graves, and Dawntae Jackson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her honorary sister, Beverly Owens-Jackson.

Services for Linda will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. (viewing); and Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 12:00-12:30 p.m. (family hour) and 12:30-1:00 p.m. (funeral) at E. F. Boyd & Son, Inc., 25900 Emery Rd., Warrensville Hts., Ohio 44128.

I worked with Linda at CCC West in a different department. She was the kindest, most helpful person, always with a smile, always more than willing to help. She is missed here,
