Linda Elizabeth Hopper, a lifetime resident of Newburgh, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. She was 43.

The daughter of Fannie Mae Wilkins Hopper and the late Edward H. Hopper, Sr., she was born November 14, 1965 in Newburgh, NY.

Linda was a Home Health Aide for New York Healthcare Services in New York, NY, and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Newburgh, NY.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her fiance, Julio Figuero; five children: Shamika Hopper, Sean Eusty, Steven Hopper, Rahmar Murray and Sasha Hopper, all of Newburgh; sister, Marjorie Hopper and her mate, Michael Greene; two brothers, Edward H. Hopper Jr. and his mate, Doreen Henry, and Robert Hopper Sr. and his mate, Odell Henry; Godmother, Elizabeth Obie and Godfather, Eddie Obie Sr.; three Godbrothers: Eddie Obie Jr., Anthony Obie and Jeffery Obie; four nieces: Latara Greene of Illinois, Zahtisha Greene, Tinisha Greene of Newburgh, and Monique Hopper of Washington, DC; two nephews, Robert Hopper Jr. and Edward Hopper III; two great nephews, Nicholas Sheilds and Naversia Alexander, both of Illinois, and one grandchild, Imani Hopper of Newburgh. She will also be missed by her friends, neighbors and church family. She was predeceased by her father, Edward H. Hopper Sr.; sister, Belinda Hopper; grandmother, Iola Kimble, and grandfather, Lonnie Wilkins.

The family wishes to thank the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence and staff for the great care given to Linda during her final days. A special thanks to her niece, Deirdra Ponder.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, April 6, at the First United Methodist Church, 241 Liberty St., Newburgh, NY. Service will be at 11 a.m. at the church with The Rev. Dr. William G. Smartt officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope, NY.

Hi family I'm so sorry that I could not be there in your times and need I sill having a hard time with this and only the lord can keep me storng I love you guys.I pray for you all.
