Linda Joiner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 2, 2013.
Linda L. Joiner passed away April 1, 2013 in Arlington, TX. She was born October 31, 1946 in Italy, TX to Floyd and Mary Holley. Linda was loving woman who never met a stranger, everyone who knew her loved her. She was a devoted wife and mother with a passion for movies. Preferably the "old Hollywood" movies or anything from the 40's. Another passion and great love of her was animals, especially her cats.

A visitation will be held Thursday April 4, 2013 at Bean Massey Burge on Beltline Road from 4-8pm.

To Big Dave and Little Dave: I hardly know what to say. I want to say something warm and meaningful to help you through this terrible period of grief for the loss of your precious Linda, wife and mother. She had more love to give than anyone I ever knew. Everyone was welcome in her home and she wore a sweet smile everywhere she went. She reminded me of the Book of Ruth in the way she loved our mother. She had the patience of Job where others were concerned. We will miss her sorely and she will remain in our hearts forever. What a great wife and mother she was. She truly loved both of you with a profound love. I know Heaven is celebrating her homecoming. All her health problems are gone and she will never know pain or sorrow again. She could never be replaced - she was one of a kind. I am here for both of you for any and everything you may need of me. She would not want you to grieve for her too long. She would want you to be happy and go forward while remembering her lovingly. I love you so much.

My sincerest condolences to all of you who loved and cared for Linda.

We thank you God, for the joy and grace you give us in families. Be with Dave and David now in their time of grief. Grant them the answers they seek and remind them that You have promised that neither death nor life will ever separate us from Your love. Grant strength in mourning, comfort in sorrow and faith filled hope we will all be together in Your Kingdom. Surround Dave and David with Your love combined with the encouragement and love that friends and family can give.

This is my prayer for my beloved brother and nephew.

David, you did a beautiful job with the photo gallery. I laughed out loud, and then I cried too. I love the one of your graduation with ol' Sparky. :) The profile picture of Aunt Linda is just stunning. WOW, what a beauty!! And the one of her and Granny, so, so sweet. I cracked up of the one where she was holding you as a baby, and you were screaming at the top of your lungs. I think I could hear it. :) Love you so much, cuz, see you tomorrow. I'm bringing some homemade goodies to share. xoxo Micky

Uncle Dave and Little Dave,

Some of the best times of my teen age years were spent at your house and with Aunt Linda. She was so smart and funny and always made me feel like I was at home and was like a second mom to me when I was a Teen.
She was so loved by everyone and will be missed.

Uncle Dave & Little Dave,

We are still shocked and deeply sorry about Aunt Linda's sudden passing. She was such a beautiful woman, with a smile that lit up the room and a contagious laugh that I will never forget. We are praying for you every day that you will feel God's presence, like never before, as you go through this fragile and difficult time. We loved her too! To know her was to love her. Micky & Larry
