Linda Marie (Karwanski) Welsh Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 22, 2025.
In loving memory of Linda Marie Welsh (Karwanski), who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 77, in Danvers, Massachusetts, following a courageous battle with a rare form of skin cancer. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Linda was a beacon of strength, grace, and love to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was a cherished mother to her daughters, Sandy Dodge of Center Harbor, New Hampshire, and Suzanne Lazzaro of Swampscott, Massachusetts. Her sons-in-law, Chris Dodge and Chris Lazzaro, as well as her grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsie, Jacob, Nicholas, and Alexander, will forever treasure her memory.

Linda is survived by her devoted sisters, Diane Tomassian of San Jose, California, Christine Lane of Weymouth, Massachusetts, and Beverly Schirl of Marin County, California. She was predeceased by her sister Carol Arena and her brother Robert Karwanski. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A longtime resident of both New Hampshire's Lakes Region and Massachusetts' North Shore, Linda found joy and tranquility by the water. Her passion for the beach was only matched by her love for her family and friends including the many four-legged kind.

Linda was a proud graduate of Bunker Hill Community College. Her career was as varied as her interests, including pursuits in photography, real estate, accounting, and the medical field. She was also a talented crafter, with a particular love for sewing, crocheting, and knitting.

Linda's kindness and generosity were hallmarks of her character. Linda proved by example every day she lived that there was nothing to fear, and all things are possible without limitations, with hard work. She will be remembered for her unwavering support, guidance and love for her family. Linda's presence will be profoundly missed, but her beautiful spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. May she rest in peace.

A memorial mass to celebrate Linda's life will be held at a future date and time. Donations may be made in Linda's memory to www.caredimensions.org.

To Auntie Lin: you were always up for an adventure. Your fun energy and laughter was infectious. I bet you're dancing to 70s rock music up in the heavens right now
