When Linda came to the VAMC in Providence and became our HR Specialist she brought a warm bright light to our hiring issues. She was kind and understanding and always willing to support our needs with that radiant smile and gentle demeanor. She was one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure to know and work with. RIP dear friend.

When I think of Linda, I think of her smile that brightened up a room, her gentle voice that flowed gently to your ears, her ability to make others feel better with just a touch of her hand, and the kind words that were so effortlessly spoken, always making you feel nothing but loved. Linda's possessed a uniqueness that allowed others to feel the true warmth of her soul through her eyes. I am very blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing such an awe-inspiring woman in my life. Linda will always be a part of my life, for she has a place in my heart where she will always remain. My deepest sympathy to Linda's family, and friends. May your love and memories be the strength to guide you through this time of sorrow.

I can't begin to convey my sorrow, to the McConney and Rico family, with Linda's passing. Between many tears and the fog of disbelief, my memories of our deep childhood friendship have emerged sharp and clear. I feel so blessed to have had Linda as my very best childhood friend. While we drifted apart, the imprint of those many years of deep and true friendship will stay with me forever. In every picture I have of us, we are both laughing and smiling because we found so much joy in being together. We wrote notes to each other everyday during junior high and high school (some of which I still have 40 years later) even though we saw each other every day. It was a very special time in my life that I will always treasure. I feel like a piece of my heart was ripped away this week and while it will heal, it will never be the same. My love and prayers to all of you. Angie (Byard) Green
