Linda McCulley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 20, 2025.
Linda Helen McCulley, age 82 went home to be with the Lord on July 11th, 2025. Linda was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 4th, 1943. Linda grew up in Cinncinati, Ohio and moved to Clermont, FL in 2003 to be with her daughter, Marylynn. She was the loving daughter of George and Mary Seiler. She had one sister, Mary Seiler. She graduated from Central High School and married her high school sweetheart, Marvin, on February 9th, 1959. They had 4 beautiful children of their own and eventually became loving and devoted grandparents to 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Linda was an owner of Ace Furniture for over 40 years, where she and her husband sold furniture and beautiful antiques. They also provided assistance to their local community by providing furniture to those in need. After moving to Florida Linda was a dedicated Kmart employee for several years, where she worked alongside with her grandson Taylor and Taylor's life-long best friend David. She was an avid movie watcher. She loved a good Sci-fi or Scary movie. One of our fondest memories is when we would watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation every year at Christmas time, where we would sit together and watch our beloved Gigi laugh at all of the goofy scenes. Linda also loved her animals. She had 4 dogs and a cat who she cared for deeply; Mittens, Molly, Maggie, Mimi and Abbey.

Linda and her husband Marvin were very involved with their local church. They not only provided bus rides for over 30 years, they provided shoes to children who would come on the bus barefoot and in need. Linda and her husband gave their life to Christ and were saved in 1971, a testimony that changed the course of their family's life forever.

Linda was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was proceeded in death by her husband Marvin Starr McCulley and her son Mark McCulley. She is survived by her son, Michael McCulley, daughter, Marylynn (Rob) Strasser, and son Marty McCulley, grandsons Daniel McCulley, Christian and Taylor (Jesse) Strasser and great grandchildren Landon and Skyler Strasser. She will always be remembered as our beautiful "Gigi."

She loved life and loved people even more. She never met a stranger and always treated everyone with kindness and respect. She was a compassionate lady with an infectious smile, she was funny and light-hearted, a woman of strong conviction and unwavering faith who loved Jesus. She was tiny but mighty, who was brave until the very end. We love and miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at West Orlando Baptist Church. Located at: 1006 E Crown Point Rd. Ocoee, FL 34761 - to be followed by lunch & fellowship in the reception hall.

In lieu of flowers, we believe mom would love for everyone to donate to a family in need or donate to their local animal shelter in her memory.

My thoughts and prayers to this special family. Though I never met Mrs. McCulley, I knew from Marylynn´s Facebook posts how treasured she was and the love between her and her family! A very special mother and Gigi!
