Linda Norway Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 23, 2024.
Linda Elaine Norway (née Hill), born on February 18, 1952, in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Viera, Florida. She was the beloved daughter of the late Robert W. and Phyllis T. Hill.

Linda shared a loving marriage with Robert M. Norway, whom she wed on May 11, 1972. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. She is survived by her cherished children, Kristen J. Merrick and Geoffrey C. Norway, and her adored grandchildren, Robbie Hicks, Ashley Merrick, Haley Merrick, Bella Norway, and Christopher Norway. Linda also leaves behind her dear sister, Nancy Gamroth, and brother, Rusty Hill.

Linda dedicated many years of her professional life to the King Center for the Performing Arts, where she retired as the Assistant Ticket Manager. Her passion for the arts was matched by her love for Trop Rock music and travel, which she enjoyed immensely as a long-time member of the Space Coast Parrot Head Club.

Her vibrant spirit was evident in the joy she found spending time with friends at the Patrick Space Force Base Marina and Tiki Bar. Linda's life was further enriched by her beloved pets, Dakota, Poppy, Crayola, and Billie, who brought her endless joy and companionship.

Linda Elaine Norway will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda had an indomitable spirit and joy for life. We are all better for having been in her sphere. Fins Up!

I first met Linda on Patrick Air Force Base in the Manatee Cove Marina Tiki bar and she became a real good friend. She was so genuine and happy if you ever felt down in the dumps after speaking to Linda for five minutes, the mood was lifted.
We had so much fun on the boat sailing out to the island and marker 21 where we would all raft up and listen to Jimmy Buffett music memories that I will cherish forever .
My heart goes out to Bob and the family
Linda was a very special lady that will be truly missed.
I wish I could have been on the boat to scatter Linda´s ashes and to be a part of the ceremony I was there in mind and thought.
