Linda Marie Patrick

Linda Marie Patrick, age 77, of Glenwood, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. Born on April 17, 1948, to Bill and Irene (Czechanski) Michalowski, she was raised in Calumet City.

Linda was the devoted wife of Michael Patrick, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her earlier years, while her own children were young, she touched many lives as a swim instructor at Lan-Oak Pool. She later spent many years as a secretary and payroll associate for Sure Plus Manufacturing in Chicago Heights. After her time there, she continued to stay active in various administrative roles, ultimately serving as office manager for H&R Block before fully retiring.

She loved games and treasured time with family and friends. In their younger years, she and Mike enjoyed many seasons together in a bowling league. Before losing her eyesight, she could often be found enjoying evenings of cards, bunco, or bingo with friends, and her children remember countless family nights around the table learning to play poker. Those who knew Linda also knew her fondness for slot machines and her love for Las Vegas, her favorite getaway. Even after losing her eyesight, a trip to the casino to play her favorite machines remained a joyful occasion.

Linda could also be remembered for her trademark deviled eggs at any gathering, her pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, and her nut and fruit rolls every Christmas.

She is survived by her children, Brian (Kelli) Patrick, Kelly Patrick, Erin (Wayne) Marshall, and Shannon (Jeff) Patrick; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Breanna, Brianna, Dylan, Cody, Patrick, Sean, Rylee, Mikayla, and Avery; and her great-granddaughter, Aspen. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathie (Robert) McHenry and Donna Michalowski, and her brother, Anthony (Emma) Michalowski. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial visitation will be held in the Day Chapel at All Souls Catholic Parish in Lansing on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 9-10am, followed by a Funeral Mass in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
