Linda Priddy Obituary
Born May 30, 1954 in Caldwell County, Linda was the daughter of Louise Coffey Steele and the late Robert Haywood Steele. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lenoir. She had worked at the Robbins Medical Center for 39 years. Her hobby was her work. She will be remembered for loving the doctors and people she worked with. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading and bird watching. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Eula Steele and Monroe and Dovie Jane Coffey.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles O. Priddy of Lenoir; two sons, Christopher C. Priddy, partner Jeremy Huffman, of Asheville and Kevin S. Priddy, son Greyson Steele Priddy, of Lenoir; and a brother and sister in law, Brian R. Steele, wife Jackie, of Granite Falls.
A funeral service for Linda will be Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Lenoir at 11:30 AM with Philip Priddy and Thomas Hinton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM prior to the service at the church.
Memorials can be made to the Relay For Life of Caldwell County at 1901 Brunswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Although I have not seen Linda in years, we were friends in school and I have fond memories of her. She was always a sweet girl and I know she is missed. My condolences to the family for your loss.

We have lived in Lenoir for 6 years. Dr.Geoffrey Burbridge is our doctor at Robbins Medical Center, and Linda frequently checked us out as we were leaving.She was always efficient, smiling, and friendly, and I always saw a picture of her grandson close by. We had no idea of her very long tenure,a benefit to all, I'm sure. And I do somehow feel compelled to tell you that I always thought she was so pretty!

I had the honor of working with Linda for more than 10 years. She was one of the bravest people I have ever known given her diagnosis. I will always cherish the times we talked, laughed and cried together through the years. She spoke often of her family for which she loved dearly. Charles, Chris, Kevin, Louise, Brian and Greyson you had a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. I am sure she will be watching over each of you until you are reunited one day.

Charles and family, I was so sorry to hear of Linda's death and even more sorry that I was not able to attend the receiving and funeral. Please know that I am holding all of you in my prayers and hope that God's grace will bring you peace.
