LINDA L. PURCELL

Linda Lee Purcell of Graham, Washington took her last breath this side of heaven at her home on September 20, 2024, with her daughter Renee and son-in-love Mike by her side. Linda was born April 4, 1948, and grew up in Tacoma, attending Lincoln High School.



She spent her career in the insurance industry, holding various positions in commercial insurance sales, marketing and underwriting and was well known and respected for her dedication to helping her agents successfully grow their business. She enjoyed giving back to her industry by sharing her knowledge teaching classes for various organizations.

Linda loved to travel internationally and did so at every opportunity. She passed on that love to Renee. Linda was also a voracious reader; rarely was she seen without a book in her hands.

Linda had a generous spirit and helped others by donating to the local food banks, serving meals on Thanksgiving at the shelter and supporting children in Africa.

She spent the last year of her life in her new home built on Renee and Mike's property close to their home. She loved that it was built by Mike and would spend time sitting on her deck, with her long-time fur companion Sadie Lou on her lap, and a book in her hands while enjoying the view of Mount Rainier.

Linda loved Jesus and was strong in her faith. She knew when her earthly body failed her, she would be spending eternity with Jesus. She chose II Corinthians 5:8 to be on her grave marker. "Absent from the body...present with the Lord".

Linda will be missed for her laughter, her smile, the best hugs, and her sense of humor.

She is survived by her loving daughter Renee (Mike) Purcell-Johnson, her son Jeremy (Karen), and her grandchildren Malorie, Joshua, Jessica, Odin, Elspeth and Aleksander.

She was laid to rest at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Gig Harbor, Washington. A Celebration of Life will be held for Linda in April.
