FORT MILL -- Linda, 67, entered the presence of her heavenly Father after a long and courageous battle with cancer on December 21, 2010.
A longtime resident of Fort Mill, Linda was born January 24, 1943 in York, PA to Richard and Lois Miller. For many years, Linda was Director of the Lighthouse Home for Troubled Girls. She spent much of her life dedicated to helping those who battled addiction and leading many to Jesus Christ. In her later years, Linda started a cleaning business that grew into a very successful company serving apartment communities of the greater Charlotte Metro region. Linda loved to travel and was always ready for a trip, especially to her beloved Beau Rivage.
In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her stepfather, Charles Spahr and two brothers, Richard 'Dick' and Bob Miller. Linda is survived by three daughters. Nancy (Mike) McLendon of Charleston, SC, Lindy (Steve) Le Bel of Charlotte and Jimmie (Chris) Workman of Indian Trail. In addition, she leaves four beloved grandchildren. Maddy & Katy McLendon and Bailey and Jack Workman. Linda is also survived by her best friend who was like a sister for more than 25 years, Louise Brock. Services will be held Monday, December 27 at Heritage Funeral Home Weddington Chapel. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
