Linda Stanley-Cramer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 4, 2025.
Linda Stanley Cramer was born in Belleville, Illinois on April 20, 1954 to Forrest & Teresa Stanley. She was reunited with them in heaven in the early hours on Tuesday August 19th, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville after a battle with cancer. She was 71 years young.

Linda was one of five children. She graduated from Academy of Notre Dame in 1972. She worked in hospitality and sales until her early retirement in 2010. She had five children and ten grandchildren that she adored. She wed William Cramer in 2006. They enjoyed golf, traveling and in recent years snowbirding in Clearwater, Florida.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Forrest J Stanley and Teresa M (Santoyo) Stanley, brothers Mark & Carl Stanley, sister Teresa Hoelscher & her husband Brent, and her youngest son, Brady Kerr.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Cramer. Her four children Kari McCowan of Kansas City, Missouri , Jamie (Ryan) Rader of St. Charles, Missouri, Brandon (Amy) Kerr of Kansas City, Missouri , Bryce (Sue) Kerr of Arnold, Missouri , daughter-in-law Bonnie Garcia-Kerr of Overland Park, Kansas. She has ten grandchildren : Skylar and Gavin McCowan, Drew and Riley Rader, Logan, Callie & Ainsley Kerr, Bradyn, Collin & Jaxon Kerr. Her sister Rita (Bill) Sax of Belleville, Illinois , sister-in-law Kathy Stanley of Brimfield, Illinois, and so many nieces, nephews, friends & extended family.

Our mother loved gardening, gathering with friends and family, spending time at the beach, volunteering at her church, and making new friends. She never knew a stranger. For that reason, in lieu of flowers, please consider spreading joy. Share a smile, help a friend or make a new one, maybe a spontaneous act of kindness. Her smile lit up every room she entered & in turn, our world. Keep her memory alive by sharing your light!

There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, September 12th at 10:30am at St.Luke's Church 310 N Church St, Belleville, Il. Please join us in person or in spirit.
