Linda Stark Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 27, 2024.
Linda Levi Stark, 84 yo of Wellesley, Mass and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully on 1/25/24 after a short battle with lymphoma.

She was born in Brooklyn New York in 1939 to Herman and Belle Levi and kept her parents on their toes by beating to her own drum. Linda attended Brooklyn College and Northeastern University, gaining her BS and MS in elementary education. She was a fixture in the Wayland school system teaching most grades for about 35 years. Her love though was 5th grade at Claypit Hill School where she spent the most of her time. She was known to be a loving and tough but fair teacher. She was similar in this sense as a parent of her children however her dogs were the ones who ruled the household.

She retired from teaching and traveled extensively with her beloved husband Allen. They traveled all over the world to both popular and remote areas.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Allen, and is survived her children Michael, his wife Carol and children Brett and Robert. As well as her daughter Heather, husband Mike and children Samantha and Tamerat. She is also survived by her sister, Sidra Stone. She leaves many long time friends as well.

Linda requested no services. In lieu of flowers, donations to Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSCPA) would be greatly appreciated.

I was passing by the house in Wellesley and noticed the house was gone and a new one being built...so just found out about Linda's passing. I taught with her for many of the same years in Wayland..also at Claypit...and will warmly remember all the good times we had together and what a wonderful colleague she was. I was about to call her to do another visit with a mutual friend...I am so sorry...My deepest condolences.

Linda was a lovely, kind and friendly neighbor. I would often speak to her when we were walking our dogs and she always had a positive and happy demeanor. She will be deeply missed.

Linda always made me so happy to stop and chat while we met at the end of the street walking our dogs. I always noticed how positive she was and always a with friendly smile. Our neighborhood will miss her sweetness dearly.
