Linda Votta Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 6, 2023.
Linda Votta, 76, of Apollo Beach, Florida, passed away on November 3, 2023. She was born on April 2, 1947, in Sheepshead Bay, NY, to the late Jack and Helen Vittorio (Petersen). Linda was a kind, compassionate, and faithful mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ralph, her son Ralph T. Votta, her son Kevin Votta, and her son Timothy Votta M.D., D.D.S. She also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren Renata, Accalia Rose, and Jay, as well as fourteen nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her brother Jack, sister Pat, and sister Rose.

Linda attended Sheepshead Bay High School and later went on to have a successful career at Met Life Insurance.

Linda found solace and strength in her faith and was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Islip, NY and later at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Ruskin, FL.

In her free time, Linda loved to garden. She would often spend hours tending to her flowers and plants in her backyard. She loved to travel and had a special fondness for National Parks in the West. In her retirement she was an annual pass holder at Disney World and attended as many fireworks shows as possible.

A service will be held Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Ruskin, FL. It will be followed by a gathering at the Southshore Falls community clubhouse to celebrate Linda's life and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Maryknoll (MaryknollSociety.org).

Linda Votta will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her kind and compassionate nature touched the lives of many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Blessed that you were my godmother. Grateful for your kind heart - patience with my lack of a green thumb - and for the love you always shared with Zach, Zoë, and I. Keep smiling down on all of us!
