The Celebration of Life for Linda Rae Waldemar will be held at 2 PM on Friday, October 19, at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. Pastor Richard Spande will officiate. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service at Bonnerups. Linda Waldemar passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. She was 65 years old. Linda was born on June 2, 1947 to Chester and Valborg (Olson) Qualley. She was baptized and confirmed in the Grace Lutheran Church, and graduated from Albert Lea High School. In 1964 she married Jerry Waldemar and together they had 3 children. She held various jobs in Albert Lea, but most recently was in reception at Mayo Clinic Health Systems. Linda enjoyed photography, her Minnesota Twins and Vikings, dancing, reading, camping, and watching the birds. She was a joyful spirit with a positive attitude who held her family and friends near and dear to her heart. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dale Qualley. Linda is survived by her loving companion, Jim Brown of Ellendale; former husband, Jerry Waldemar of Sunray, TX; children, Ross (April) Waldemar of Sunray, TX, Kelly (Tom) Cavalco of Wabasha, MN, and Heidi (Matt) Moore of Sunray TX; grandchildren, Justin (Tiffany Carlson) Herrera of Albert Lea, Katelyn Cavalco of Wabasha, MN, Jordyn Cavalco of Wabasha, MN, Skyler Goolsby of Sunray TX, Colter Goolsby of Sunray, TX, and Sunny Moore of Sunray, TX; great grand-daughter, Maddi Herrera of Albert Lea; brother, Gerald (Judy) Qualley of Owatonna; nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Doris (Kraig) Smeby. Special thanks to Good Samaritan, Albert Lea Hospice, and especially to Maribeth Walton, for their compassion and care.
