Linnie was born on April 23, 1936 and passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Linnie was a resident of Chandler, Texas at the time of his passing. He was married to Johnnie. A service to celebrate this life well-lived will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday February 13 at Heritage Trail Cowboy Church in Ben Wheeler Texas with C.R. Chapman and Mike Powell officiating. A private burial was held at Echols Cemetery on Jennings Mountain in Brownsboro Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Heritage Trail Cowboy Church 7302 FM 858 Ben Wheeler Texas 75754.

I will always remember Linnie Joe and what fun it was to go spend time at their house. He and Sue were two of my favorite cousins.

I will sure miss my friend. I will never forget he and Johnnie sitting on the porch when Michelle and I would get back from appts. He would always ask "How's my friend, how did everything go today"? What a blessing he was to me and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will certainly be missed.

Joe was my good pickin' buddy and dear friend. His easygoing country-boy charm and abundant social skills overshadowed his quick mind and sharp business sense. As stated in the obituary, he made everybody around him feel special and want to be around him. Pat and I will miss him terribly, as will all who knew him like we knew him. God now has somebody who can give ol' Gabriel some pointers on how to present and improve the music up there.
