Lisa Beachy Obituary
Lisa Irene (Roby) Beachy, born March 16, 1966, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the age of 47 surrounded by family and friends at the James Cancer Hospital after a courageous battle with Melanoma.
Born to Betty (Owen) Roby and the late Jack Roby.
Survived by husband, Darryl Beachy and their son Johnathan; sister, Patti "Pat" Roby; niece, Kati (Dusty) Poland; mother-in-law, Kathryn (Yoder) Beachy; sisters-in-law, Linda Beachy and Katrina (Chris Kemats) Beachy; brother-in-law, Gregory Beachy; nephew, Kyle Brandel; special friends, Leanne Weeks, Michelle Phipps, Becky Arnott and Marlene Ashbaugh.
Preceded in death by father-in-law, Atlee Beachy.
Lisa was a 1984 graduate of Jonathan Alder High School and a 1988 graduate of Otterbein College with a degree in accounting.
Currently serving in her second term as the elected fiscal officer of Canaan Township. She was also employed as bookkeeper by Evergreen Landscaping Services Inc.
Lisa loved to travel and camp with her family and friends and had visited over 30 states in her travels. Lisa loved spending time with her pets. Other hobbies included playing the drums with fond memories as the drummer at the Plain City Barn Dance. Most Saturday mornings you could find Lisa volunteering at the Plain City Food Pantry. She was a proud Jonathan Alder Pioneer and a big fan of The OSU Buckeyes. She especially enjoyed watching her son play soccer at JA and marching with the Alder and OSU athletic bands.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (state Route 161 W.), Plain City, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 with two hours from 9-11 a.m. of visitation prior to the service. Pastors Bryan Roby and Marlene Ashbaugh will be officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Plain City Food Pantry, 150 W. Main St., Plain City, OH 43064 or James Cancer & Solove Research Institute, 300 W. 10th Ave., Ste. 519, Columbus, OH 43210.

Lisa touched my life all th way over here in Holland about 2 years ago with her angel meditations. I still listen to her gentle caring voice. I've just seen that she has joined her angels . Thank you for your life, Lisa. Angeli Hudepohl

I worked for Lisa at a Hilliard bank. She was so kind and caring and so smart. She touch my life and I will remember her with a smile. May she rest in peace.

Even though I did not know Lisa she means a lot to my Cousin Mindy Foust. Wishing her family joy and peace in this time of sorrow and loss. It's sad to see someone so young gone much to soon. My prayers are with her family & friends I wish I had known her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
