Lisa Jackson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 27, 2017.
Mrs. Lisa Olivia Bell Jackson was born on November 2, 1971, and the adored daughter of Mr. Phillip C. Bell, Mr. Willie Chisholm, Jr., and Mrs. Charleen M. Davis Bell. She grew up outside New Orleans, LA in River Ridge area of Metairie, LA. Lisa was the beloved sister of Francesca Bell Lotten, the late Laurie Lee Bell, Phyllis Cartina Bell, Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Bailey, Christine Chisholm, Carolyn Chisholm, DeShawn Ellis, and Robert Smith. Lisa attended East Jefferson High School in Metairie, LA graduating in 1989. She later studied electronics at Delgado Community College in New Orleans; earning her Associates Degree, Biomedical Technology in May of 2000. After that she studied Management at the American InterContinental University earning her Bachelors Degree in 2006.

Lisa was a fearless and competitive child. She learned to swim by jumping in the deep end of pool, loved playing games like hopscotch, double dutch, Clean Sweep, and Minestorm. Lisa always had the best strategy with a light bead when she made her throws. Certainly not forgetting about Cat the Rat game jumping rope keeping the pop. She would jump on the trampoline, and always tried to beat the boys at everything. She was the leader; first born of all the 1st cousins on her mom's side, and kinda hated going to Grandma Marion's, because she tried to keep the children in inside the red and white gate all the time narrowing our playground. She loved being outside playing with friends and going to Uncle Clarence's house; best of all, the gatherings at Auntie Annie House with her cousins, aunts, and uncles. Lisa was the big cousin, and she loved being raised so closely together and living near her extended family.

Lisa was so beautiful that people naturally gravitated towards her. She was best friends with Cassandra Dillon and Dana Giles; sharing so many wonderful experiences with them. Lisa became even more adventurous through her teenage years into adulthood; like jumping out of planes, trying new foods, visiting Niagara Falls, and shooting pool. She had a kind warming heart, and made the deepest connections with everyone she came into contact with; most importantly, with a young man named Stephen A. Jackson. Somewhere during all that fun those two fell for one another, That bond blossomed into a long relationship, and eventually a loving 17-year marriage and the birth of an even more gorgeous daughter - little cutie patootie Chelsey Symone Jackson. Lisa enjoyed an extensive career with GE Healthcare; holding such titles as Program Coordinator, Operations Specialist, Co-Leader AAF Remote, and Regional Operations Manager; and in recent years as a Senior Key Account Manager with Siemens Healthineers.

Lisa was an extraordinarily intelligent daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend, colleague, competitor and world adventurer that was loved by all. She lived a life of strength and courage; being steadfast in her strongest spiritual beliefs. May Jehovah call her name when it's time for all those in memorial tombs come out. John 5:28. "For Jesus said, " I am the resurrection and the Life" John 11:25. Lisa knew all our hope is in Revelations 21:3-4, where God says he will wipe out every tear, nor mourning or pain, or death will be no more! We are encouraged not to store up treasures on this earth, but will keep our eyes simple and store up treasures with God in the heavens. Ps. 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A Help that is readily a found in times of distress. Left to forever cherish the precious memories of Lisa's life are her husband, Stephen A. Jackson and daughter, Chelsey S. Jackson of Little Elm, TX; mother, Charleen M. Bell of Metairie, LA; sister, Francesca Bell Lotten (Darryl) of Little Elm, TX; sister, Phyllis Bell McPhail (Robert) of Metairie, LA; grandmother, Edna B. Rousseau; siblings, Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Bailey, Christine Chisholm, Carolyn Chisholm, DeShawn Ellis, and Robert Smith; niece, Ferrin Matthews, nephew, Kory Blaze Vogel, niece, Addison McPhail; and beloved cats, Spencer and Jasper.

Your light shined brightly and blew out too quickly. I will forever treasure teenage memories I have of you, my cousin Julana--your bestie, Franny and I hanging out. And though we did not see much of eachother as women, you never felt very far away because Julana would keep me caught up on everyone. You will always be missed.

Lisa Bell, you and Frannie were my other 2 big sisters as a child. Hanging with Laurie and Phyliss, your family always treated me as family, like I was one of them. There are so many memories that has always stuck with me and will continue to do so. It was so good seeing you earlier this year. Going through what you were going through and smiling through it all. I love you Lisa!!!! You were so strong, I've always admired you and even more so today. Much love from your other sister and cancer fighting sister.

You truly made a difference in my life. From the first day we met in 2006, you have been the best role model a women could ask for. You took me under your wing without thinking twice. You promised me that you would teach me everything you knew. You gave the best advise and allowed me to make my own decisions. I could tell you anything and you would always listen. We bonded like sisters. When you heard something knew, you told me. When you seen something new, you showed me. When you experienced something bad, you warned me. And when you experienced some good, we celebrated. I know you are seeing, doing, and experiencing new things right now and that is great! Because I know you will have a lot to show me, tell me and teach me when I get there.
Although I'm missing you here on earth, I'll find a way to get through. I love you Lisa Bell Jackson.

Because You Remember Me

I know I am still with you
in your prayers, your thoughts, your heart
And though you cannot see me,
I will always be a part
of life's sweet celebrations
in those times when you reflect
on how, though things are different,
through our love, we still connect.
We'll see each other someday
when our spirits all are free,
until then, I am with you
because you remember me.

Lisa...it was an honor to call you friend. I hold all the conversations about everything imaginable so close to my heart. We laughed, we cried and we connected in a short time. As we said..."...Love you to the moon and back"! You will forever have a place in my heart.

Family-
My sincerest condolences!! It has taken me a week to just process all of this....the lost of my friend and sister Lisa. I miss her! That sarcasm. That chuckle. Those eyes....she was the real deal!! We worked together for years at GE Healthcare and kept in touch as she transitioned to Siemens. She was a light...fighter (literally and figuratively...LOL) and she cared fearlessly for what was right. Lisa took no mess.....and I loved it. Though I may not make the memorial services planned this week, Chelsey, mom, sister will see me soon. I am forever a part of you all. Praying for everyone.... the Jacksons and Bells.
