Thomas Suttle

TAMPA - 89, passed away April 30,2016 at the Melech Hospice House in Tampa. He was born July 20,1926 in Newport News, Va., to the late George and Louise Suttle. Tom joined the army at age 18, serving time in Korea and the Philippines. Upon his return he began a forty year career in hardware sales, eventually owning his own store. His inherent passion and talent was fixing anything broken. The expression "give it to Grandpa, he'll fix it!" will be remembered by those who loved him as his legacy.The second of five children, Tom was predeceased by his brothers Charlie, George and sister Marian. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Dot) Suttle, daughter Jeanne Seaberg (Greg) of Tampa, sons Richard (Lydia), David (Kelly) of Newport News, VA; grandchildren Adam Suttle (Naomi), Samantha and Cody Suttle ,Ben (Danielle),Sam and Zach Seaberg; great-grandchildren Siena and Sydney Seaberg. Also survived by his loving sister Doris Kinder (Ray); special friends Donna,Jay and Kasey Wishart; as well as a host of other friends and neighbors from University Village.
