How sad that sweet Lisa departed us so early in life. Miss her, and wish dearly that she was still here. Many things I should have said and shared with her, but at least I have the memories! God Bless her girls and grandaughter! Ben

Nicole & Brit, I loved your mom very much. We were friends for 35 years and I just assumed we'd have another 35 years to visit and laugh and share life's stories. Lisa was truly one of a kind. She was a devoted mom and grandmother, and a cherished friend to countless others. She worked hard to provide a loving and secure life for her daughters. But just as importantly, she worked hard to prove to herself that she was capable to grasp the next rung on the ladder of life. From the 21 year old blonde secretary who used to love driving around Houston in her black Chevy Camaro with the T-tops off, the A/C running, and smoking a cigarette, to the loving mom and successful business woman. Lisa, your life truly was a bucket list. I realize that being a friend of Lisa's was being a piece of the puzzle that was her life. I am forever grateful to have been a piece of that puzzle. Good-bye dear friend.

Some people come into our lives and touch us in very special ways. Lisa was one of these SPECIAL people. Her love for her girls and animals was very strong that projected in everything she did.
I feel very blessed to have known Lisa and call her a friend. She will be sorely missed. We will continue to pray for you and your mom.

Nicole and Brittany,
My heart is sad about Lisa. She was a good neighbor. Always ready to help. Just don't give her a plant she would say.I am grateful to have had a wonderful conversation with her Sat. evening. I was looking forward to getting to know her better. We had made plans to play Mexican train. Lisa talked about her girls and new granddaughter. Her legacy is her family. Lisa will be missed. Memories and friends will be there to comfort you. Take care of each other.

Nicole and Brittany,
I am so sorry for your loss. Every group of friends has that one "fun" mom who everyone is able to be themselves around no matter what- for us that person was Lisa. She was always there to support us no matter what was happening. Lisa even drove all the way to Beaumont to attend my baby shower, and got stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire on the way, but when she walked through that door you would never have known what kind of day she was having because she was all smiles- she brightened up the room with her presence and I was so honored that she would come all that way just to support me. Lisa was so good to my puppy when she let Coya spend the Christmas holidays at her house so that I could go on vacation...even making sure Coya had a stocking to open on Christmas morning. We will never forget was a beautiful spirit Lisa had, and we will miss her dearly. Please know that you are in our family's prayers, and we are here for you if you need anything.
Love you,
Shaun, Tracy, Jordan, and Coya Fink

Nicole and Brittany,
I loved all the fun times we had with your mom. She loved you both so much and was always so proud of all your many accomplishments! She always kept the pantry stocked with the best food! I loved staying at your house and eating all the meals I never got at my house. I remember the first time I ever had "Texas toast" was at your house, I thought it was the best thing I'd ever had and was so surprised to learn I could buy it in a box and make it myself!
I also will miss telling Lisa stories of adventures and always having to throw in crazy things that other people did, to make us look perfect!! !
She's the only mom Ive ever known to brave a party barge for her daughters bachelorette party! What a trooper!
I pray you both find comfort and peace in the upcoming days and weeks. And like
Tammy said , I can still hear Lisa saying "Nicole" in the special way only she did!
We will make sure to share with Madison as she grows how amazing her grandmother was and how she has a special guardian angel watching over her
Love you both dearly,
Lindsay

There's not many years between the ages of 15 and 22 where I don't have a memory of Lisa's vivaciousness and spunk filling the walls around Nicole and Brittany's childhood home. Nicole and I thought we were clever, but Lisa was always one step ahead of us, followed immediately by a sound that we have all grown to love - NICOLEEEEEE!!!! I can still hear her in my mind, like she's just down the hall calling out for Nicole. Whether we were there to study for a test with "Light bulb" or to watch Spice World or because we had just got off works at Becky Prime, or to raid their kitchen because they had the best snacks, or even to make some understanding up a recent break up, the home that Lisa created for Nicole and Brittany and their friends was just that - a HOME. Lisa, it breaks my heart that you left us so early, but I hope you know what a wonderful impact you had your children's lives - on all of our lives because of it. You raised them (and all of us) so well.

I was very sorry to hear about Lisa. I'll always remember feeling so welcome in Lisa's home. A few times a bunch of high school kids "studied" over at her house and she was happy to have us over. My heartfelt condolences to the Rogers family.

Lisa and I met nearly 35 years ago and I can honestly say that I have never ever met anyone with a greater zest for life. Her energy was incredible, her personality magnetic and her laughter infectious. And she was very much her own woman - smart, hard-working and fearless. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. But there was nothing she loved more than her girls. She was so incredibly proud of you both. It is impossible for me to comprehend that she has left us. I can assure you she is in heaven taking charge.

Lisa Jan Rogers will be sorely missed by the many who knew her. I had the privilege of knowing Lisa on several different levels and stages over the years and her pride in family, especially Nicole and Brittany, reigned supreme. She had a professionalism & work ethic like no other, but when she let her hair down in private and delved into enjoying life, her private life, and the lives of her two beautiful daughters, she was at her finest! PRIDE... in everything she did and every breath she took. At times she was a workaholic but she knew how to play and enjoy life just as much. She battled diabetes for many years and I'll never forget her story about how her beloved cat came to her rescue when she was in the midst of an episode and she credited him with saving her life at the time... she loved animals, as both daughters will attest. I'm thankful that Lisa was recently blessed with the birth of her beautiful granddaughter, Madison Grace Homme, as she was so excited about becoming a proud grandma. I Thank God for the times I shared with Lisa and her wonderful family, and I was shocked and saddened beyond words to learn that we've lost her. She will certainly be missed, yet still loved, by all who knew her. God Bless Nicole, Brittany & The Family as they carry on without her. Ben

Lisa.
We shared so many things and found we had alot in common. I met her about 7 to 8 years ago out at a Houston Single Networking Function. We connected on so many levels. I lived in Briargrove Park where she grew up and her parents lived. I work at the Buckingham where her parents were. Being a single parent and our children even shared the same wedding day. She was always there for me what a great friend to have and me being there for her as well. Remembering when she found Winfrey and took care of him while she went away on one of her trips. We always checked on each other around the holiday times that we weren't spending it alone. I saw her about two weeks celebrating our birthdays and she was so excited to see my new home and was so happy for me. I could really take care of Winfrey if she needed me to. She and the girls got to meet Michael my youngest and really thought alot of him and he will go far in life. Brittany and my son Chris Austin talked at one point far as a possible roommate. Very much connected. I am here for you Brittany and Nicole whenever you need me. Much Love and will miss your Mom. Suzanne Penn

Hello to Lisa's daughters and family. I read the obituaries every day. It's something I get from my Mom. She would always say "you never know who will be in there that you know".
Well, girls I did not know your Mom but when I saw her beautiful picture and read her sweet comments from those who did know your Mom I started to cry. She sounds like such a wonderful person and loving Mother to you both.
May our Lord take away your pain and replace it with beautiful memories you have of your Mother. May God bless you both through your journey in life. Take care.

My heart and condolences goes out to You, Brittany and Nicole. It was an honor to know your mom. She had a smile that was bright and a heart that was brighter! My condolences go out to you girls! Your mom was such an amazing strong woman! I worked for her for ten years and i agree with everyones statements! Her laugh was infectious and she always smiled.when she was talking about her daughters. When i was going thru my divorce she offered her house up to me and my kids bc she was worrried about our safety. I cant tell you how many animals she has stopped in the middle of the road in her heels and suit and rescued and brought up to the office in hopes that someone would take them home. Our Christmas parties were always a lot of fun bc she would finally let lose and relax! We are all saddened by this tragic event and I pray you girls find peace eventually. She will be missed and always remembered. I will be praying for you girls and her friends and family.

Lisa was always so much fun at every occasion! One of my fondest memories of her is she taught me to dance the jitterbug! We had so much fun! She loved to dance and was so good at it! She was a great example as a wonderful Mother to Nicole and Brittany. Heaven just got more lively when she arrived. Love you Lisa!

A full life with a full heart is the way Lisa lived her life. Although she left us way too early, her bucket list was short because she never let life pass her by. I loved to travel with her because we indulged in crazy tours, unique food and so much more. But more than anything she lived her life for her daughters. As a single mom, she did everything humanly possible for their happiness. She will always be in my heart.

Nicole and Brittany,
I loved your Mom... she was so much fun to be with, she always made me laugh! I have always been amazed by her strength and her passion for life...It was so contagious! I won't ever forget our trip to Vegas, slumber parties at y'all's house...I could go on. An inspiration to all who knew her, an incredible person; I will never forget her. She will be missed so much. Love Y'all.

"Lisa wore many hats but the one which she cherished most was that of "Mom". During all my stays at your home and when she visited me, she always shared the events of each of your lives and always mentioned how proud of both of you she was. The only time I ever saw tears in her eyes was when she spoke of her wish for each of you to find happiness in whatever you chose to do. Hold that love close and cherish the sweet memories of all the fun times you shared. Her love will live on in the memories stored in your hearts."

Brittany & Nicole,
My family & I are so sorry to hear of your loss. I fondly remember the 6th grade weekends I spent at Lisa's house eating Cookie Crisp for breakfast while listening to Lisa singing the kookaburra song to Brittany. As you go through the days ahead I pray that God will grant you His peace and that you are strengthened by the love of friends and family.

My condolences goes out to Lisa's family. I have worked with Lisa for many years and I must say that I agree with all the wonderful comments about her. Many talk about her kind heart, how strong she was raising two daughters, being passionate about all animals, etc...I then realized that if it had not been for Lisa along with my adminstrator I would not have a job. Her heart had to be kind to put up with my then very young, indecisive ways. She gave me chance after chance and for that I have to be grateful for Lisa. Rest easy Lisa.

I fondly remember Lisa laughing at us as we ran rabid through her house as kids, screaming moo language or continuously spinning round and round on that one chair. I for sure grew taller thanks to her glorious snack pantry full of gushers, kraft mac & cheese and other stuff I wished my mom would buy! For some reason I also remember her teaching me the butt scoot workout regime? Lisa was the first real business lady that I knew and I looked up to her with all those fabulous 80s pantsuits and curled blonde hair. What a dynamo. My heart goes out to you Brittany and Nicole and your whole family. You mom will always be remembered. Sending you all love and prayer.

Great memories of Lisa since we met at shadow briar school. She was always at meetings for parents and loved to be a part of your lives. Next stop was at Paul Revere and Lee high school. With Senior girls and cheer leading, Lisa was always Involved. She would jump right in and help in any way she could. She was a "go getter" , with so much energy! Lisa was always smiling and so positive with those around her. She will be missed.

To my sweet friend, client, sister, Angel, and Inspiration. Nicole and Brittany your Mother did a wonderful job raising you two. I had so much respect and admiration for her. If there is one important thing to share about Lisa is, Live Life to the fullest and have no regrets. Will miss talking about our adventures in travel, the next new restaurant in Houston and sharing Nicole and Brittany stories. She will be missed!! Ritz

Doing wild and crazy things just won't be the same without hearing Lisa's laugh and seeing her roll her eyes at us. She was such a beautiful and loving mother. She raised two amazingly strong and gorgeous blondes and sent them out to conquer the world. I will always picture her dancing with a big smile at our weddings. Lisa will be truly missed!!!
One more thing..."Nicole!" (In your moms voice).
