Lloyd DeLoach, 88, of Valdosta, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born November 16, 1922 in Glennville, a son of the late Rufus L. and Willa Mae Swindell DeLoach. He was a member of Bemiss United Methodist Church, a retired famer and auto mechanic, and a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Mr. DeLoach enjoyed working in his yard, being outdoors and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Lillian Guest DeLoach of Valdosta; their three children, Gerald L. DeLoach and wife Cheryl of Davie, FL, Alicia Diane Copeland and husband Tilford of Lawrenceville, and Mark A. DeLoach and Tami of Keizer, OR; three grandchildren, Kathleen E. DeLoach of Davie, FL, Cristy M. Waters and husband Jon of Warner Robins, and Tracy L. Waters and husband Steve of Warner Robins; four great-grandchildren, Chase, Chandler, Ty and Zadie Waters; one brother, Wade DeLoach and wife Dorothy of Bemiss; four sisters, Dottie Anderson of Stuart, FL, Mary Frances Colson of Madison, FL, Sybil Fallet of Nashua, NH, and Hilda Hubbard of Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bruce and Robert DeLoach. Funeral Services for Mr. DeLoach will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Lance Kindred officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
