-Lloyd Thomas Kooima, our husband, father, brother, friend and mentor, went home to his Father in Heaven after a brave battle with cancer and kidney disease. His wife Sally, daughter Sandy, son-in-law Jim and beloved grandchildren Adem and Jasin mourn his passing but celebrate his life. His extended family in Denver and Iowa join his many friends, work associates and acquaintances in remembering the life well lived of this good man. He was a 36 year employee of United Airlines where he not only did his job in an exemplary manner but also provided leadership to other areas of the company and was a mentor, changing the lives of many who worked for and with him.
-Lloyd was a Christian in the truest sense of the word. He took great pleasure in being part of the leadership of his church, and in quietly, visibly living the principles that all should follow. Lloyd was active in community life, serving in many organizations including the achievements of the rank of Captain of the Jefferson County Mounted Sheriff's Posse. He was a past president and 25 year member of the Hole in the Wall Gang, a group that shared Lloyd's love of the west, horsemanship and anything to do with the great outdoors.
-Lloyd will be remembered for the life he lived and the people he touched. He was unfailingly kind, giving, non judgmental and left all those who had the privilege of knowing him better for the experience. We celebrate his spirit that will live on in all of us.

Lloyd was a great person to have working your area as Lead. He was also a good friend to me. I can remenber talking to him about his horses and how is business was going at the car wash; how pipes would freeze up in the cold weather. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and worked with him.
