Logan Barnshaw Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 18, 2020.
Logan Thomas Barnshaw, beloved son of Erik and Karen Barnshaw, left our world and crossed back over into the light on May 18, 2020. He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on May 15, 2015. Logan had a strong passion for adventure and loved excitement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing in the dirt, jumping in big puddles with his brother Gabe, going on 4 wheeler and Rhino rides, and admiring Mr. Big Dave's truck and many trailers. He also loved all sorts of arts and crafts, listening to music and dancing, picking flowers for his Mommy and diligently shadowing his Daddy. He was a chocolate cake extraordinaire and extremely intelligent beyond his years. He had a heart so sincere and tender, and you could always count on him for a genuine snuggle and hug. Logan loved people unconditionally, without barriers; he made an everlasting impression on those whose lives he touched. Logan has now joined loved ones including his Grandma Stiles, Grandpa Barnshaw, and kitties Inka and Bandit. He will be missed by his proud parents, brother and sidekick Gabe, Grandmom, Grandpa, his cousins Caroline, Nora and Miko, all of his aunts, uncles, and ALL the special people that helped guide him along the way. Relatives and friends are invited to Logan's Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike on Saturday May 23, 2020. A brief service will begin at 11:00am that will be available via live stream at https://www.facebook.com/BoydHorroxGivnish. Visitation hours will begin immediately afterwards until 2:00pm. Due to social distancing measures, only 10 people including the family will be allowed into the visiting area at once, and masks must be worn at all times. You can watch the live video stream at home and come afterwards or watch on your phone in the parking lot then visit with the family. Erik and Karen request that everyone dress in the type of clothing you would wear to come to their house to play with Logan and be comfortable in and maybe even get a little messy :) In lieu of flowers, donations in Logan's memory can be made to Special Books by Special Kids - https://sbsk.org/donate-to-sbsk-today/ This organization helped us understand some of the complexities of how it feels to be a person with special needs. Please share your fondest memories of Logan at www.lifecelebration.com , 610-277-7000.

Mr. and Mrs. Barnshaw,
My heart is aching for your family. I got the pleasure of working with Logan for two months at Play and Learn. Logan brought so much love into the building and I'll never forget his heart warming hugs. Logan showed me so much love even though we only knew each other for a short time. Work was never boring with Logan. He was so special, and will always hold a place in my heart. He taught me so much in the time I knew him, and he truly made me a better person. I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you all.
From,
Miss. Rissa (as Logan would say)

Logan was the best, the very best, at giving warm, knock-you-down, wonderful hugs to his classmates and to his teachers. Logan truly loved his friends. It was always a great pleasure to watch him play full-heartedly with them and show his love with a hug.
And now, Heaven is wrapping a warm, soft hug around our beautiful Logan.
With love for Logan and commitment to his family,
Logan's Friend,
Ms. Beth

I fondly remember Logan, I had helped care for him as a baby. I remember singing Old Macdonald to him while feeding him his bottle. He loved listening to all my songs and had a smile that melted your heart. Always a curious one, didnt let anything stop him from what he wanted to accomplish. He will always be remembered and in my heart. May you find strength and light in knowing that he was incredibly loved by everyone who cared for him and will always have place in their heart.

He left my life as he arrived, suddenly.
Hair of gold, brown-eyed, rosy cheeks.
He could be mischievous and strong willed.
But his love was that only a child is capable of, joyous and unrestrained
His smile, welcoming hugs and unique way of saying Grandpa made every hour spent with him special.
Now he is gone; a hole left behind that can never be filled.
I knew him, I loved him and I will forever miss him.
I weep for my loss and that innocent life cut so short.
