Logan Matthew Wagner passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2018. From the day of his Leap Year birth of February 29, 1996, Logan was his own person, unique and anything but ordinary. His gorgeous blue eyes provided him a natural eye for beauty in all things; he had a gift for making people laugh with his curious sense of humor; he was empathetic, nonjudgmental and saw the absolute goodness in everyone around him. Logan was easy to talk to and many would agree they enjoyed meaningful, deep conversations with him. He enjoyed watching movies, skateboarding, his cats, poetry and the color green. His biggest God-given gift in expressing his powerful emotions was no doubt his music. He enjoyed playing drums and guitar from an early age, and entertained the neighborhood, with his brothers and best friends often playing alongside. His music truly matured when he began working with Baton Rouge Music Studios Young Band program, and there Logan found his Voice. His growth in singing and song-writing have been a pleasure to witness, both his solo creations and with his best friends of Nice Dog. Logan leaves behind many who love and will miss him greatly: his mother Sharon Benoit Wagner Spell and stepfather Derrick; his father Christopher Wagner; his brothers and best friends Dylan and Caiden; stepbrothers Kevin and Jason and stepsister Julia; Grandparents Stanley and Joanny Benoit, Wayne (Ben) and Rebecca Hatcher; Great-grandmothers Essie Morgan and step-great- grandmother Elma Hamilton; Aunt Tara and Uncle Tom Sibert; Uncle Mike and Aunt Elena Wagner; Uncle Todd and Aunt LeeAnn Wagner; Aunt Lauren and Uncle Scott Bolduc; many cousins who he treasured deeply; other Aunts and Uncles who he loved. Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation resumes on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Thank you to those who made his short life so special, especially "Uncle" Rick Pitre; Nanny Kay Braud and Mr. Bob Dupuy; our "family" of Jerlyn Drive; Parkview Baptist class 2014 and the teachers there who recognized his potential, especially Mrs. Bankston; Robby, Austin, Garrett and Tony; Doug Gay and the crew of Baton Rouge Music Studios; Faith Nazario for being there; and *drum roll please* the wonderful Carmen Irene Stevenson for Always being there.
