LOIS M. JUDD, 86 ROCKFORD - Lois M. Judd, 86, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home, Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She was born July 24, 1928, in Freeport, the daughter of John and Lucy (Hahnal) Zweirfel. She was a graduate of Aquin Catholic High School in Freeport. Lois married Duane Judd in Durand on March 7, 1946. Lois worked at National Lock, then went on to work at Amerock for 281/2 years. Lois made many friends through work, the YMCA and the card club where she and Duane played cards. She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. "Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed, and very dear!" Author unknown. Survived by her husband, Duane of 69 years; children, Debbie (John) Dorn and Michael (Denise) Judd; grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Irving, Kristin (Greg) Lewis, Andrew (fiancée, Anne) Dorn and Matthew Judd; great-granddaughters, Adeline Irving and Sophia Lewis; several nieces and nephews; special niece and nephew, Larry and Karen Judd and Jim and Bonnie Gorham; and special friend, Shirley Minnick; and childhood friend, Doris Voss. Predeceased by her parents; brother, Arthur Zweirfel; sister, Betty Reed; and half sister, Lucille Gorham. The Judd Family would like to give a special thank you to VNA Hospice. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 South Mulford Road.
