An emotional farewell to a kind-hearted, sweet, generous, and remarkable woman.
You were one of the most devoted 'Mamas' I have ever known. You spoke so fondly of your sons, Darrell, Gayle, Darren, Grant, Garner, and Barry; of your daughter-in-laws, and of your grandchildren and great grandchildren. And you were nothing short of being a great friend.
It was astonishing how often I would coincidentally meet up with you at our local Londonderry Mall. I would enter the east doors, and there you'd be; always so happy to see me. You'd tell me to go to Save-On and get groceries, and that you'd give me a ride home. Then, when driving out of the parking lot, I would sometimes offer you 'gas money'. You would simply stop the car and say, "get out." You always made me laugh!
Now, each and every time I enter that mall, I immediately think of You.
Miss you my Friend.
Rest in Peace Dear Lois.

Dear Lois...
Your memorial service on Saturday was a touching tribute to a beautiful lady; a loving mom, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma and a true friend. Your unwavering devotion to your beloved family was reflected in the love shown to you during your illness, throughout the service, at the cemetery, and at the luncheon, by all those whose lives you graced. It was an honour for us to attend and to observe the celebration of your life and to bid you a sad farewell.
Thank you for embracing us as part of your family. We have such fond memories of holidays and other special occasions spent with you and your family.
The many times we spent with you - the birthday celebrations, the Mother's Day brunches, Chinese Food dinners(complete with Wor Wonton soup)and the Rummoli games - all those times we were together with you are memories we treasure. Wish there could have been many more.
To your sons Darrell, Gayle, Darren, Grant, Garner and Barry, and to their spouses and children, we extend our heartfelt condolences. We hope the grief and sorrow they are feeling today will one day be replaced by beautiful memories.
We miss you Lois and we will remember you with love, always.

Our deepest Sympathy to the greatest sons and their great wives, children, grand children and great grand children. Lois was indeed a "Mama" to everyone. She always made sure everyone was fed and she made the best pyroghy and cabbage rolls and her feasts were very plentiful. She was just a very nice, caring and very thoughtful lady not to mention a pretty well dressed lady. She raised six unbelievable sons-truly. BOYS you truly are wonderful! Your mom will always be with you and your families; she had soooo much respect for all of you. It's with great sadness she has left us but we will see her again. She's with your dad and he's happy. We will miss her until that day.

The Lakusta Family

Sorry to hear about your mom. I know this is a tough time for all of you. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was kind, loving, enjoyed her music CD's her son's made for her. She loved her music. When mom and I would visit she would always put the music on for us to listen too and we had a few laughs and some wonderful times together. She was my favorite auntie on my mom's side and I will miss her dearly. Take care!
