VEEDERSBURG — Lois “Diane” Reese, 69, of Veedersburg, died at 9:44 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident near Veedersburg. She was born Jan. 24, 1939, in Newtown, the daughter of Ralph and Lois Rennick Fletcher. Diane married Thomas Reese on March 7, 1958, in Sterling, and he survives. They celebrated 50 years of marriage this past month. She had been employed as assistant manager at CVS Pharmacy, retiring in 2002.Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Debra Gee of Terre Haute, Dawn Throckmorton and her husband Rick of Martinsville, Dee Dee Kelley, and Dana Van Ness and her husband Andy, all of Terre Haute, Donna Suits and her husband Gary of Indianapolis; one son, Michael Reese and his wife Angie of Linwood, N.C.; two brothers, Ralph Fletcher III and his wife Saundra of Veedersburg and Thomas Fletcher and his wife Sharon of Tilton, Ill.; two sisters, Regina Baker and her husband Bob, and Nellie Cox, all of Newman; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William and Francis Fletcher. Diane graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1958. She enjoyed floral arranging, reading, decorating for Christmas and spending time with her family. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Sunday in Dickerson Funeral Home, in Veedersburg, with the Rev. Richard Throckmorton officiating. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment is Monday in Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute. The family requests memorial contributions be made to American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
