Rochester NH-Loraine G. Gilman ,87, of 26 Cross Rd died peacefully Monday, February 10, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 3,1932, in Hyde Park Vermont, she is the daughter of the late Harold and Vera Kellogg. She and her family moved to Rochester so Loraine could attend High School at Spaulding, where she graduated in 1950. After moving back to Vermont, she was then employed at the local hospital as a nurse’s assistant. After attending her 5th high school reunion in Rochester, she met her late husband Robert, was married, and moved to Cross Rd, where she called home for the next 63 years. Loraine was well known by students of Spaulding High School in the late ’70 and early 80’s where she was a library assistant.
She and Robert loved to be able to skip the NH winters and spend time at their home in Zephr Hills, FL She loved Bingo and socializing with friends. She was a active member of the Grange for 50 years. She was the quintessential homemaker. She loved baking, canning, making homemade treats for all to enjoy. Some of her best memories were of raising her family.
Members of her family include her son, David W. Gilman and his wife Kym of Rochester, her daughter, Barbara Daigle and her husband Brian of Lebanon Me, her grandchildren; Anna Short, Adam Gerry, Devan Knott and Eric Gilman, her great grandchildren; Caleb and Aiden Azzopardi and Alexis Short.
Please in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Nute Ridge Bible Chapel or Cornerstone VNA
Funeral services will be held Friday 14th at 3pm with visitation to be held one-hour prior in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St, Rochester NH 03867.
Burial will be held Spring of 2020 in the Rochester Cemetery

We are so very sorry to learn of Loraine's passing. Loraine and Bob Gilman, and Loraine's parents, Vera and Harold Kellogg, were all very dear to the Campbell family. Our heartfelt sympathy to their loved ones.

Dear Barbara and David and their families, We are so sorry to learn of the passing of your mom. We were trying to call her and found out that she had passed. Oh My Word...I am so very sorry to hear of Loraine's Passing...She was such a wonderful soul...I am hoping she is with my mom going to Bingo and that Bob and Raymond are out at a buffet...
