Loredana "Lo" Nesci

Redondo Beach, Calif. - Loredana "Lo" Nesci, 47, died on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at her home in Redondo Beach, Calif. Loredana lived in California for the past 20 years and called Redondo Beach, Calif. home. Although Loredana lived in California, she was always proud to be from Meriden, Conn., and was always very happy when she returned home to visit her many friends and relatives.

Loredana was born in Meriden, on June 11, 1968, to John Nesci of Meriden and to the late Graziella Panetta. Loredana attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel School through the eighth grade. From there, Loredana attended and graduated from Platt High School. Loredana attended the University of Connecticut, and upon graduation moved to southern California. In 1996, Loredana joined the Los Angeles Police Department where she served the community as a police officer for about one year. After leaving the LAPD, Loredana returned to Connecticut and attended the Quinnipiac School of Law. After law school, Loredana worked with various Connecticut attorneys fine tuning her skills in family law, personal injury law and civil litigation. Loredana's love of the law was evident as she handled cases at the state and federal levels. Loredana eventually expanded her area of practice to include entertainment law, workers' compensation cases, personal injury cases, family law cases, criminal cases, civil disputes, and landlord-tenant disputes. Loredana developed her own brand and soon became known as the "Legal Diva". Loredana passed both the Connecticut and California Bar Exams. Loredana was a bicoastal practicing attorney. Loredana was fiercely devoted to those she represented and would often give legal advice to those who could not afford it. In 2008, Loredana started her own syndicated radio show, "The LowwDown with the Legal Diva" where she analyzed popular conspiracy theories. Loredana has been in front of the camera as a legal personality since 2004, and in 2014 Loredana landed her own Legal Non-Fiction television series on Sundance TV entitled, "Loredana Esq." In 2015, Loredana was a guest on The View, where she discussed major legal issues impacting the nation. Loredana has always been very athletic. Loredana has played a number of sports throughout her life. As a young adult, Loredana mastered the art of body sculpting. Loredana always enjoyed exercising and embraced proper nutrition as a way of life. Loredana placed in every fitness contest she ever endeavored. Loredana was a loving and dedicated mother to the love of her life, her son Rocco age five. Loredana and Rocco spent countless hours together as she prepared him for the challenges of life. Rocco was often a fixture in Loredana's law office, often visiting with other attorney's throughout the day. Rocco was also known to visit and appear in area courthouses with Loredana. Loredana was a lover of animals and cherished her Doberman, "Louie" and her two cats "Bob" and "Rudi". Loredana enjoyed playing baseball with her son, biking, rooting for the New York Yankees, yoga, sunsets, her family, her friends, and life itself. Loredana had a wonderful personality and was loved by all who met her. Her contagious smile could brighten any room and anyone's day.

Loredana is survived by the love of her life, her son, Rocco Nesci Reagan; her father, John Nesci, of Meriden; paternal grandmother, Catherina Nesci, of Meriden; brother, Lt. Sal Nesci of the Meriden Police Department; sister-in-law, Diane Nesci, of Madison; brother, Detective Sergeant Robert Nesci, of the Meriden Police Department; sister- in-law, Giuseppina Nesci, of Milford; niece, Catherine Nesci, of Meriden; nephews, Dominic and Sebastian Nesci, of Madison, Santino Nesci, of Milford, and niece, Skylar Miassaro, of Milford. Loredana is predeceased by her mother, Grazielle Panetta; her maternal grandparents, Salvatore Panetta and Yolanda Panetta, of San Giovanni Di Gerace, Italy; and her paternal grandfather, Dominic Nesci, of Meriden. Loredana will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her. Loredana made the world a better place and leaves her family and friends broken hearted. Death has temporarily separated us for now; however, we will see your beautiful face again as you welcome us home someday.

The Nesci Family welcomes Loredana's friends, and the community to join in a Mass of Christian burial on Friday, Aug. 7, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave., Meriden. There will be no calling hours. Entombment in All Saints Mausoleum in North Haven, will take place after the Mass. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the John J.
