May you all be surrounded and embraced by the love you have shared. I saw Loren's In Memoriam after Lottery Dream Home on 18 July 2025, and then found his obituary. I am so touched that this level of love and joy still exists in this World. To David, and everyone that loved and was loved by Loren, I am so deeply sorry for your loss and sorrow. To Loren, may you be free of pain and rest in the knowledge that your love touched so many.

I only got to know Loren for a short amount of time, but I can say without a doubt that he made me a better person and a better nurse. His smile lit up his entire face; when he smiled you smiled. To David, his friends, and his family, you created an army for Loren. He was a fighter. I think he was one of the strongest people I've met. But you rallied for him constantly. You cheered him on at every improvement and supported him through every set back. You made sure he never felt alone. You ensured that he was always surrounded by love. I believe that's what pushed him to keep fighting. Everyone on our unit agreed, Loren had the best team! Loren, you showed me what it means to see the good even in the darkest moments, to be able to joke and laugh even on a rough day, and to love all those you care about with all your heart. The world needs more Lorens! Loren, your memory will continue to live on, thank you for making the world a better place!
