Loretta Dillinger, 37, of Thayer, formerly of the Creston area, died September 22, 2015 in rural Union County. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Pastor Tim Haynie will officiate. Burial will be at Lorimer Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive friends from 9-11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Powers Funeral Home in Creston. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family. Online condolences can be given at www.powersfh.com. Loretta Lynn (Lawrence) Dillinger, daughter of Loretta Lorraine (Purscell) and Larry Wayne Post, was born March 30, 1978 in Creston, Iowa. She attended school in Afton, Iowa. She held a variety of jobs over the years. She had worked as a CNA for Nurses on Call and nursing homes in the area. Survivors include her father Larry (wife January) Post of Winterset; five children, Brandon Lawrence (girlfriend Mandee Barnes) of Creston, Dylan Lawrence of Sidney, Ia., Justin, Jeremiah and Natausha Dillinger of Essex, Ia.; step-father, Frederick Lee Solt of Lorimor; grandchildren, Torri Lawrence of Creston and Catalayla Buchanan of Clearfield, Ia.; siblings, Bob (wife Jennifer) Post of Rushville, Mo., Alvin Post of Ankeny, Ia., Donny Post of Osceola, Ia. and Mike Post of Des Moines, Jerry Lawrence of Creston, January Johnson (Michael) of Arkansas, Melvina (husband Tim) Burton of Malloy, Ia., Larry Gene (wife Holly) Shepherd of Winterset, Ia., and Jodie Clapsaddle of Des Moines, Ia; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta Solt and daughter, Audrey Dillinger.
