Loretta Giberti Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 1, 2024.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta Lucille Giberti on 9/27/2024 in Martinez California. Loretta was born on 9/10/1940 in Campo Colorado. She worked in Retail and as a Bartender. Loretta enjoyed sports, playing volleyball in high school & softball in the Martinez rec league for many years. Loretta, volunteered for the Martinez Chambers of Commerce organizing the Whiskerino days. Loretta also coached softball for St. Cahterine's school. Along with her love for sports Loretta had a passion for arts and crafts and had amazing sewing skills. During the 60's & 70's she was a huge Oakland Raider fan and would often go to games and Raider booster dinners with friends where they would get to meet the coaches and players, take pictures, and get autographs signed. During the 90's, Loretta and her life partner Roger competed in electronic dart tournaments. During this time, they played at a tournament in Las Vegas where she was seen playing on ESPN. Loretta's biggest love was her family. There was no doubt she was their biggest fan. Always sharing with her neighbors how proud she was of her son and grandchildren. Loretta loved to take her grandsons and go to the celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe or a ferry ride over to San Francisco for the day. Loretta was also a member of the Druids society. She is survived by 2 children, Barbara Giberti, David Giberti (Kathleen), three grandchildren, Shaylor Giberti, Ava Giberti and Drew Powers (Amber) and three siblings, Donald Dunivan of Sacramento, Andy Dunivan of Concord and Sue McCowan of Concord. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Dunivan and Velda Leippe and her life partner, Roger Fisher. The family will be holding a private memorial.
