I can´t believe my Ms Summer has left here I met 36 years man God Bless the family and I am now finding out looking for someone else´s obituary and ran across hers family you have my condolences

I was a student teacher, at Merrillville Beauty College when I met Ms Summers, she took me under her wings, she would say we were sisters. Beautiful person she cared about us. Please don't stop being my guardian angel. Rest in the arms of the Lord.

God fearing woman !Great mother and mentor to countless amounts of people! Always a had a great energy and spirit!Was a second mother to me and to the guys in neighborhood. She will truly be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Loretta Summers while working next to her in City Hall over the last few months. She was a joy to work with, and I will miss our daily conversations and pleasant smile. My condolences to her family during this trying time.

I met Ms. Summers about a year ago, when I first started working at the City of Gary. She welcomed me with the biggest smile. She was a kind, loving, generous woman who loved to sing, and was so humble. She enjoyed doing for others, and did not want anything in return. She knew her rewards would come from the lord! We shared a lot of stories together, in a short time. She gave me great words of wisdom. I extend my condolences to the entire family. May you find peace and understanding and strength through our lord and savior, Jesus Christ!

My memories of Loretta go all the way back to Douglas elementary school and then on to Roosevelt high school where we graduated in 1964. I send my sincere condolences to the family. May God comfort your heart and give you his peace.

To the family
Loretta and I grew up together on Monroe St. And she care for her children and invested in a group called NewBest Friend she cared . So I hope her children and grandchild and greatgrand continue her legacy. My prayers are with you and the family.
