Lori Larson Obituary
March 12, 1965 - January 15, 2024
Lori Karis Larson, of Granite Bay, CA, passed away on Monday, January 15th, 2024. Loving and proud Mother, daughter, sister, grandmother "Lollie", cousin, aunt, friend, Dog Mom, animal rescuer, interior designer, model, dancer and fighter. Lori lived a full and vibrant life, always surrounded by family and friends. She was 58 and beautiful.
Lori cherished her family, friends, animals, and the great outdoors. Whether she was hiking with her longtime pup, Boomer, enjoying a morning walk to catch the sunrise, or engaging in card games with family, Lori always embraced life. Her wit matched her beauty, and her infectious laughter echoed through our hearts. A genuine soul and a radiant presence, Lori enriched our lives. She loved seeing her grand-babies play, always finding joy in the simple things in life. We feel grateful and blessed for the moments we shared with her and the positive impact she had on everyone around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter to those lucky enough to know her.
Continuing her vibrant family spirit, Lori is survived by her daughters Korina Huizar and Krissy DeHart, son-in-laws Wouter Theijs and Daniel DeHart and her grandchildren: Brooks William DeHart, Indie Florence DeHart, Olivia Rae Theijs and Owen Robert Theijs. Loving daughter to Jeannie Green and her two sisters. Adoring Aunt to many nieces and nephews, her loving cousins and to all her daughter's friends that brought so much fun into her life.
In 2023 Lori was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare neurodegenerative disease, which she privately and vigorously fought until she passed.
A Celebration of Life will take place in memory of Lori as we spread her ashes at her favorite place - Capitola, CA. As it was Lori's wish to have her ashes spread with Boomer (her loving and loyal pup) this ceremony will take place at a later time. Please reach out to Korina or Krissy if you would like to be included in the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lori's name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.aspca.org).

I was blessed to meet Lori at workout classes several years ago .. we instantly connected with our love of dogs. Her love of her family was her priority as well as her love for animals (especially her dog). She was truly a beautiful woman ..I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences.

Lori was a longtime friend of mine of over 25 years. Although we didn´t talk daily, we didn´t miss a beat when we reconnected. It was as if no time had passed between us. Lori was not only beautiful on the outside but beautiful on the inside! She loved deeply! Her daughters were the world to her! She loved her friends and cherished the time she spent with you! Lori always made me laugh! She had the best sense of humor and such a great laugh! She loved anything about the sun and beach, as I did. We spent some great times together in San Diego and truly bonded. I will miss her so much! You will always be in my thoughts my friend! Until we meet again!
