Lori E Lawson

Lori E. Lawson (née Galyan), aged 85, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024, in Oxnard, California. Born on July 24, 1939, in Boliver, Missouri, Lori was a cherished figure in her community and beloved by all who knew her.

Lori's life was marked by her profound kindness and generosity. She had a heart of gold and a spirit that was perpetually upbeat and caring. Her love extended not only to her family and friends but also to her loyal dog, Hankie. Lori was a devoted wife to her late husband, Gary Cesen, and a loving mother and grandmother. Her warmth and compassion were the cornerstones of her family, making every moment with her a cherished memory.

Professionally, Lori contributed many years of diligent service as an accountant. She was a proud alumna of Ventura Community College, where she furthered her education and prepared for her career. Beyond her professional life, Lori had a passion for shopping, traveling, antiquing, and crafts, pursuits that brought joy not only to her but also to those who joined her on these adventures.

Lori is survived by her son Jeff Ferguson, daughter Jill Emigh, and grandchildren Desirea Ferguson, Gabrielle Emigh, and Mason Emigh. She was preceded in death by her daughter Judi Ferguson, grandson Derek Ferguson, and husband Gary Cesen.

A celebration of Lori's life will be held on November 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the City of Hope Church, 755 Bard Road, Pt Hueneme, California. Her life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Lori's presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those she loved.
